Stand Up To Racism - Glasgow
Stop the Fascists in Aberdeen
SUTR Scotland has decided to postpone our AGM this Sunday to mobilise in support of local anti-racists and anti-fascists in Aberdeen. A far-right mobilisation in Castlegate comes after months of violent far-right protests led by fascists in Aberdeen, and after the far-right was subjected to crushing defeats in Falkirk and Inverness on Saturday.
We haven’t taken this decision lightly. The SUTR Scotland AGM will be a key site for planning mass anti-racist resistance in the months leading up to the May Holyrood election, and we will soon announce a new date in early January.
But from Falkirk to Dundee, far-right activists are planning to join in with their hateful colleagues in Aberdeen this Sunday.
We know that, for every one of them, there are many decent people in Aberdeen who don’t want their city to be associated with hatred, Islamophobia, racism and division.
We encourage all our local groups and supporters to mobilise to stand with them and in solidarity with refugees this Sunday against the fascists and the racists.
