NY WFP Contingent: Field Trip to Albany for a NY We Can Afford
New York Working Families Party
Join the NY WFP contingent in Albany on February 25th for a massive mobilization to tax the rich to make NY affordable!
Working New Yorkers are being stretched to the breaking point while billionaires get even richer. Rent keeps rising. Childcare costs more than college. Buses are slow and unreliable. Groceries and utilities eat up paychecks.
That’s why, together with a coalition of partners, we’re bringing thousands of New Yorkers to Albany for a march and rally to demand a New York we can actually afford. We’re calling on state leaders to tax the rich and invest in the public goods working families need and deserve, including universal childcare, permanently affordable housing, and fast and free buses.
Please RSVP only if you truly intend to come, so we can plan transportation and make this moment as powerful as possible.
IF YOU'RE IN NYC:
There will be a fleet of buses leaving the city. They will leave early in the morning (around 6AM) and will be back in the evening. More info bus locations will be in your email soon. RSVP to reserve a spot on the bus!
IF YOU'RE IN UPSTATE NY, HUDSON VALLEY, LONG ISLAND, ETC:
We are exploring additional buses across the state! We need to know where you're located to see what regions we need to focus on for transportation support.
More details about the day and transportation will be shared closer to February 25.
