Citizen Action of New York
Citizen Action at the ESCCC Childcare Advocacy Lobby Day
When I say Universal Childcare, what comes to mind? Would it provide FREE care for pre-school aged children so that parents can go to work? Yes, but that's just a small part of it!
Did you know that Universal Childcare actually would cover from birth until age 13? Yes, I'm serious! And it also includes after-school and vacations and summer break? It most certainly does! Can you imagine ALL New Yorkers being able to benefit from this? It IS possible, and we need your help to make it happen!
Universal Child Care means child care for ALL, in a system that values and compensates educators adequately so they can thrive. Join us on Tuesday, January 27th at the New York State Capital for a rally to demand that Governor Hochul include the funding needed for Universal Childcare in the 2026 NYS Budget. After the rally we will be meeting in small groups with our local Assemblymembers and Senators to share our stories on how Universal Childcare will benefit our kids, our Childcare Educators, and our communities as a whole. We can make this happen with your help, so please join us!
