United for Justice Day – March 26 Each year, advocates, community leaders, and directly impacted individuals gather at Lawyers Mall in Annapolis, Maryland, outside the Maryland State House, to demand justice and meaningful reform. United for Justice Day brings people together from across the state to uplift the voices of those most impacted by incarceration, housing instability, and systemic inequities. Life After Release is proud to stand with this movement and support legislation that strengthens opportunity, dignity, and stability for returning citizens and their families. Join us as we demonstrate our power and push for real change, including Clean Slate (automated expungement) and Fair Chance Housing (which will prevent discrimination by landlords against most returning citizens).
