Indivisible Georgia District 10
This May Day, It’s Workers Over Billionaires
On May 1, 2026, join workers, students, and families as they rally, march, and take action across the country to demand a nation that puts workers over billionaires, with many refusing business as usual through No Work. No School. No Shopping.
In Athens, we'll stretch along Prince Avenue, just as we did in 2025, with signs calling for workers' rights and a tax on billionaires. There will be a banner or two on the Prince Overpass. Let's see how many blocks we can cover!
In addition, we're calling for a parade of decorated cars and trucks to drive back and forth along Prince in front the protestors, honking and waving.
After the rally, we'll join local unions at Athentic Brewing Company on Park Ave., where there will be a variety of MayDay activities, from crafts to karaoke long into the evening.
Instead of spending your usual amount of money on May 1st, consider making a donation to Athens Immigrant Rights Coalition.
As always, this will be a peaceful rally, although it may be loud and boisterous!
