Bridge of Truth & Hope- Cherokee & I20

Indivisible ATL

Our message this week will touch on ICE’s planned detention centers in Georgia and why supporting funding for ICE without guardrails in place is detrimental to democracy. TRUTH: Sometimes there is more truth in a simple message like NO KINGS. Especially when we are overloaded with all the conflicting information that is out there, and even more so with so much disinformation. Hope: It is easy to feel alienated and disheartened. Our presence on the overpasses seems to be a way to reconnect and encourage each other. We can see it on the faces of people (and we can see many) who drive by, and when they wave and give a thumbs up. And we can surely hear it in the honking, and messages of thanks. Maybe our wave is our greatest gift.
