As the Trump administration continues its attacks on the foundations of our democracy and the programs families rely on, New Jersey must lead the way in protecting people from the chaos in Washington. While many of our state’s elected officials will be inside the League of Municipalities conference mingling with corporate lobbyists and political insiders, we’ll be outside calling on them to stand with the people they serve — not the wealthy and well-connected. New Jersey leaders must act urgently and boldly to protect immigrants, workers, and families; expand and defend the rights of everyone in our state; and raise the revenue we need to fund essential services. That means closing corporate loopholes and making sure super millionaires and big corporations pay what they owe.
