March over the Auckland Harbour Bridge • 13 September This march is a united call by Aotearoa for Palestine, Palestinian and tangata whenua led and supported by communities across Aotearoa. Our kaupapa is kotahitanga – bringing together organisations and communities in solidarity for this historic march to demand the New Zealand Government sanctions Israel. Why now? The facts: • 62,000+ Palestinians killed since Oct 7; ~90% of Gaza’s 2.1m people displaced—many multiple times. • The UN-backed IPC has confirmed famine—with approximately 514,000 people in IPC Phase 5 (catastrophe/famine), and spread projected without immediate access and ceasefire. • The ICJ (World Court) issued binding orders to prevent genocidal acts and ensure humanitarian aid, citing a plausible risk under the Genocide Convention. • The ICC has issued arrest warrants for Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defence Minister Yoav Gallant (allegations include starvation as a method of warfare). Sanctions Now. End the Genocide.
