Pride Rainbow Reading Party

The Open Book

🌈 EVENT: Pride Rainbow Reading Party! 🏳️‍🌈 For the second consecutive Pride Month, we are inviting LGBTQIA+ folks and allies to share space and queer titles with each other at our beautiful bookstore after hours. Perfect for booklovers, introverts and/or neurodiverse folk, and anyone who might be seeking a more low-key way to finish off the euphoric frenzy of @aucklandpride You can expect to mingle and browse our shelves a bit before we all settle down in a cozy nook with our books and read independently. You'll get first dibs on our latest arrivals, and we will (in true Open Book fashion) load you up on tea and biscuits. There will be the opportunity to meet some new people if you want, find some new queer book titles, and enjoy sharing the space where the book community and the rainbow community intersect! We have comfy seating options in and around our store, but you are welcome to bring your own picnic blankets, cushions, or cosy blankets for your comfort. We have limited spaces available, and we sold out lickety split last year so make sure to get in quick! Get your $5 ticket from the link in our bio and theopenbook.co.nz/tickets Please note: sadly our shop is not wheelchair accessible. If you have any accessibility requirements please get in touch and we will accommodate you as best we can.
