One year into the second presidential term of Donald Trump, Bakersfield community members are organizing a coordinated walkout in response to escalating authoritarian policies affecting families and communities across the country. On Tuesday, January 20, at 2:00 p.m. workers, students, and community members will walk out of workplaces, schools, and commercial spaces followed by a rally at 3:00pm with community leaders and residents at the Liberty Bell on Truxtun Ave in Bakersfield. When: January 20, at 2:00 p.m., walkouts followed by a rally at 3:00pm Where: Liberty Bell at 1415 Truxtun Ave in Bakersfield, CA We will walk out because a free America is the only America worth calling great. On January 20th, we move towards a future that belongs to us all. By joining in non-compliance and walking out of work, school, and commerce, we stop cooperating with fascism and fight for a Free America. We walkout because now is not the time for business as usual. Now is the time for action to protect each other and to fight for our freedoms.
