Hold Hopkins Accountable — Rally for a Fair & Just City
Baltimore is rising up together to hold Johns Hopkins University & Hospital System accountable to its employees and to the community. Join us on Wednesday, October 15th for a powerful rally and day of action led by the With Us For Us (WUFU) Coalition, Baltimore Abolition Movement, Bmore Against DSAI, and the JHU-Labor Roundtable.
With an endowment of $13 billion and executives making millions, Hopkins has a long history of extractive, non-democratic practices that harm Baltimore’s working people and neighborhoods. Together, we’re mobilizing to demand real accountability through four clear demands:
➣ Pay Your Fair Share – Renegotiate the PILOT agreement to make Hopkins pay its fair share in city taxes.
➣ Abolish the JHU Private Police – Stop the creation of an unaccountable private police force.
➣ Protect Our Trees – Halt destructive development at Wyman Park and protect Baltimore’s green spaces.
➣ Stop Union-Busting – Respect the rights of Hopkins workers to organize and bargain collectively.
This action is about community power, transparency, and justice. It’s about building a Baltimore where institutions serve the people, not profit off them.
📍 Location: Address will be sent to all RSVPs the day before the action. The rally will take place in Charles Village, Baltimore, near Wyman Park and the Johns Hopkins Homewood Campus.
Bring your voice, your friends, and your passion for a fair Baltimore. Together, we’ll make our demands impossible to ignore.
