Barrington, IL - May Day 2026: Workers Over Billionaires
May Day Strong
Because when the billionaires break every rule, it’s going to take more than a rally to stop them.
Our Demands for May 1st
- Tax the rich so our families, not their fortunes, come first.
- No ICE. No war. No private army serving unchecked federal power.
- Expand democracy, not corporate power. Hands off our vote.
Together we will be flexing our collective muscle in a tremendous day of power - showing our unity through a day of marches, rallies, and actions, including No Work No School No Shopping in many cities.**
Join Us at the Train Station — May Day Eve!
On Thursday, April 30th, meet us at the Metra Lot at the corner of Wool and Klingenberg Lane in Barrington from 7 to 8 am.
Together we'll kick off May Day with a tasty treat, a raffle for a local business gift card, and some community energy before the morning commute.
May Day 2026 is a day to make our voices heard. We're asking our community to take action alongside workers, parents, students, and neighbors who are standing up for thriving public schools, affordable housing, and quality healthcare — putting people over the profits of billionaires and their corporations.
The ask is simple: On May 1st, No Work. No School. No Shopping — except at local businesses that support our community.
Connect, get fired up, and help us build a Barrington and surrounding community that works for everyone. Support Workers Over Billionaires!
Note: The Metra Lot charges for parking at this time. Street parking is available nearby.
Sponsored by Indivisible Barrington and Barrington Area Demacratic Organization
