On Sat Oct 11 please join our vigil for disarmament at Bath Iron Works, from 11:30am-12:30pm, as part of the International Protest to Stop the Militarization of Space. All are welcome. We will gather near 700 Washington St -- across from the BIW administration building -- in Bath and then walk up the street to leaflet at the gate workers use at the noon shift change. General Dynamics continues to build Aegis guided missile destroyers in their BIW shipyard, with contracts to 2030 and beyond. We are in a permanent war economy and war is madness. In the genocide in Gaza and the others wars raging around the world it is the innocent and children who are the majority of the victims. The billion$ wasted building warships that kill prevent us from healing the many needs that are crying out to be addressed around our Mother Earth. We need to create a disarmed world through love and nonviolence by standing shoulder to shoulder against militarism. It's possible for us to reject the war against the poor and also address the true causes of climate change. It's time to convert BIW to building something that promotes life. Love is the measure.
