In America, we don’t have kings. “NO KINGS” is more than just a slogan—it’s the foundation our nation was built upon. Join millions of people across the country to celebrate and defend democracy. Our No Kings Day event in Beatrice will be a family-friendly way to gather with other members of the community and learn how we can all be more civically engaged and supportive of one another. We'll start at 10:00 AM with a rally for democracy. There will be speakers and music, food and drink, a sign-making station, and opportunities to meet with representatives from community and statewide organizations.. more details to come. We'll be raising funds and accepting donations for the Community Food Pantry of Beatrice and the South Gage Food Pantry in Wymore, so please bring donations if you're able. At 11:00, you're invited to line 6th street with your signs in a peaceful demonstration for democracy. Please keep in mind that children will be in attendance. In America, we don’t have kings, and we won’t back down against chaos, corruption, and cruelty. We hope you'll join with friends and neighbors to celebrate democracy, exercise your first amendment rights, and show that in Gage county and southeast Nebraska, WE DON'T HAVE KINGS! A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.
