Join Indivisible Beaverton as we say January 6th, Never Again to the violent attempt at an authoritarian takeover that took place on January 6, 2021. The 2024 election of Trump actually has resulted in an attempt at a cruel, horrible destruction of our democracy and we intend to reclaim that democracy. As the safety net has been destroyed, due process ignored, the constitution defied, voting rights rolled back, taxes slashed for the wealthy while health care and other programs that help people cut, federal agencies illegally dismantled, people disappeared and illegality detained and deported…we say no more, never again to authoritarian rule. Bring signs to show your outrage (we will have sign making material too), friends, neighbors, music, chants. Help spread the word…we want a huge crowd saying Never Again! This a local Indivisible event! A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
