September 17 is the 238th anniversary of the Constitution of the US, and it is under threat. The Trump administration has been defying it since January 20, 2025, as it presses on to establish an authoritarian state. We will stand up for our Constitution with a reading of the Bill of Rights and a few excerpts, a couple of short speeches, some music, and sign waving. We will have community tables. Bring friends and neighbors, signs, enthusiasm! A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
