This a local Together We Will Harford County Indivisible event! The numbers at the last Board of Education event were amazing, but we need to keep the pressure on! The BOE members that voted to Ban the book hate that we keep coming! Our Read In was a great success and WBAL reported on it: https://www.wbaltv.com/article/harford-county-parents-read-in-protest-decision-ban-book/66018129 We will hold our second RALLY against Banned Books prior to the Board of Education meeting, and then we will enter and attend the Board of Education meeting. Can you spare a couple of hours to fight this UNAMERICAN CENSORSHIP? This direct attack on our LGTBQIA+ students? This targeted effort to discredit Librarians and Teachers? They are COUNTING how many are for and against the Ban. Join us again at 5:00pm, bring your signs, your noisemakers and wear purple if you can- THEY HATE OUR PURPLE, LOL!!! And it is SO IMPORTANT, that we sign up to speak at the meeting. We can share more information on how to do that and help with any language. But really, all we ask is that you simply stand and say that you oppose Book Bans and ask the Board to reinstate Flamer. They are counting on us to go away.
