Keep the Flame Burning: Day of Resistance and Remembrance
NO SURRENDER – KEEP THE FLAME BURNING 🔥
Demonstration
📅 25.11.2025, 5PM
📍 Schlesisches Tor, Berlin
The 25th of November is a day to honor the resistance of those freedom fighters who throughout history and into our present, faced imprisonment, torture, and exile for daring to fight for liberation, justice and dignity.
This day carries the legacy of the Mirabal sisters who were fighting anti-communist dictatorship of Rafael Trujillo, the killing machine of US Imperialism in the Dominican Republic. In their uncompromising fight against the entire system of violence, they refused to separate the struggle against patriarchy from the struggle against imperialism and dictatorship.
On this 25th of November we want to remember and honor our imprisoned comrades, our fighters held captive, those who continue to resist from behind bars. Those who fight back, and refused to surrender. From colonized territories to the heart of imperialist states, the prison-industrial complex is an extension of colonial power structures and fascist repression. It is the core of the same machinery of oppression that enforces occupation, border regimes, genocides, land grabs, forced labor and extractivism.
But the fight against imperialism, Zionism, capitalism and patriarchy cannot be caged. They can never imprison our flames. From each prison and dungeon anywhere in the world one truth echoes: our steadfast fighters have taught us that “resistance is not in vain... but a life lived with honor and dignity” and “people who refuse to surrender create miracles with their own hands.” They remind us that justice is not given. It is demanded and fought for.
This is the fight we carry forward with every step, every voice, every action. We keep the flames of resistance burning. Until all walls, prisons and borders are in ashes. Until total liberation of all oppressed people. Let us be loud and clear and show them who the streets truly belong to.
Power to the People!
Long live the Resistance!
