Bloomington Normal 50501

Renegade Film Club: Bloomington Normal 50501 presents "Freedom Summer" Pt. 2 (Catch up and join us, 57 minutes in on youtube)

Join us for free screenings of documentaries and films with time after for discussion. Feel free to bring snacks for yourself or to share. This week we are watching the second half of the PBS documentary Freedom Summer, which tells the story of Bob Moses and the 1964 effort to register Black voters in Mississippi, where activists faced violence, arrests, and murder. It's a gripping look at how disciplined, strategic organizing can challenge entrenched power. You can find it on youtube and catch up with us if you want to join, we are at about 57 minutes in.
