As of July 24, FAU PD has partnered with ICE in the 287(g) program. This allows FAU PD to conduct immigration enforcement during routine police duty, including "the power and authority to arrest without a warrant." This assault on due process and human dignity exposes ALL 31,000 students at FAU across six campuses to harassment, detention, abduction, and deportation. This agreement is voluntary. FAU PD can terminate it at will. Join us for a day of protest at the FAU Boca campus. At 3 PM, we will assemble at the Student Union. (!) Non-FAU participants are strongly encouraged to attend, but you will not find free parking on campus. Parking is $2/hour at Garage 1 on Volusia St. just west of the library. Come early.
