No Kings
NO KINGS Boquete
Come together in solidarity and protest as U.S. expats in Panama and/or sympathetic non-gringos. We may be far away from our home towns, but we still love our country and must rise up to defend our country against authoritarianism and its far-reaching consequences.
The president thinks his rule is absolute. But in America, we don’t have kings, and we won’t back down against chaos, corruption, and cruelty. Come together in joy, peace, and patriotism while making your dissent heard.
A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.
Norms and guidelines
-Come prepared for burning sun and pouring rain, as we may get both but will not be driven away by either.
-Bring your protest signs! (family-friendly please)
-Spread the word and bring a friend.

-Respect the plaza, surrounding businesses, and local citizens. Be polite and clean.
-It would sure be cool if some musicians showed up to brighten our spirits with some rhythm! We also might try to set up some protest song singalong if possible.
