Rally to Support Judges
Indivisible LAB
Judges in America are currently under siege. More than 1,000 serious threats have been made against federal judges in the past five years, including judges appointed by both Republican and Democratic presidents. This is not a partisan issue. Democracy functions only when all judges are free to make decisions based upon their understanding of the law - not based upon fear or coercion.
The goal of Support the Courts is to demonstrate to judges that there is
tremendous public respect for their role and concern for their safety. We have rallied at the Moakley US Courthouse in Boston, outside the Chevalier Theater in Medford, and on Boston Common. We recently sent postcards of support to every sitting Federal Judge, and have already heard back from several, saying how much this support means to them.
The American Bar Association is holding its annual Litigation Section conference in Boston this year. This is our opportunity to demonstrate our commitment to judicial independence and safety to lawyers from all over the country. Indivisible LAB members of Support the Courts (https://supportthecourts.org/) invite you to join us for our rally outside the conference venue.
