Gaza's Living Cinema: Student Film Screening
SPOCS For Gaza
SPOCS for Gaza, PYM Boston, and the Muslim Justice League present: Gaza's Living Cinema: Student Film Screening
Join us on Saturday April 4 at 2PM in the Nonprofit Center to watch a series of short films made by our students in Gaza! RSVP link in bio.
SPOCS for Gaza is a student led initiative to connect the educational community inside and outside Gaza. We curate accessible courses online, and help manage access to electricity and internet for our students in Gaza, who are active contributors to the SPOCS community. We have over 300 students inside Gaza.
One of courses offered was a films studies course taught by Professor Ahlam Muhtaseb. In summer 2025, for their final projects, the students made short films. As a testament to their work --- and to bear witness to their work, made during genocide and peak of famine --- we are holding this event to honor our wonderful students, and showcase their films to the greater Boston community.
After the films, we will hold a live panel discussion and Q&A with the students.
WHEN: Saturday, April 4, 2PM-5PM
WHERE: The Nonprofit Center, 89 South St, Boston, MA (near the South Station T stop!)
RSVP link is tinyurl.com/SPOCSFilmScreenBoston or the link in bio. Please fill out the form as we have limited seats. We're looking forward to seeing you all!
