Solidarity Event in Honor of Palestinian Prisoners Day

Buffs 4 Palestine šŸ‡µšŸ‡ø

🌹 April 17th is Palestinian Prisoners' Day — a date commemorated every year since 1974, when the Palestinian National Council designated it a national day dedicated to the freedom of prisoners and support for their rights. Boulder SJP stands in solidarity with over 9,900 Palestinians held in Israeli detention, including 400 children, 170 journalists, and more than 3,400 administrative detainees held without charge or trial. āœļø Join us TOMORROW to write letters for Palestinian prisoners — because their stories deserve to be heard. šŸ“ Boulder | 12–2pm @ Norlin Sundial šŸ“ Denver | 5–6pm @ CO State Capitol Write a letter with us, or drop one off. All are welcome. — We also want to shout out two important campaigns doing vital work: šŸ”— @dismantledamon — a campaign demanding the destruction of Damon prison and the freedom of all Palestinian women held there, amplifying the voices and resistance of prisoners who include teachers, students, journalists, mothers, lawyers, and community leaders. Follow them and get involved! šŸŽ“ @free.pal.students — a global solidarity campaign calling for the immediate freedom of imprisoned Palestinian students and the protection of their right to education, political expression, and the right to determine their own futures. The targeting of students is an attack on Palestinian futures — follow them for ways to take action!
