Care over Cuts: A Die-In to Save American Healthcare
As the government shutdown and Republican policies threaten healthcare access for millions of Americans, we’re gathering to stand up for those whose lives are on the line.
Bring a cardboard gravestone with a message about who or what is being killed - (examples: RIP: Medicaid, Couldn’t Afford Health Insurance). Don’t have time or energy to make a gravestone? We’ll have some extras! Wear black.
We’ll start at Soroptimist Park then march to Senator Tim Sheehy’s office to demand that he call for a bipartisan funding deal that ends the shutdown and addresses rising healthcare costs.
A core principle behind all Indivisible Bozeman events is a commitment to nonviolence in words and action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events.
