Carnival Against Fascism Saturday 13 June, Brighton. Racists plan to come to our city, calling for 'mass deportations'. Not in our city. This is Brighton. Not here, not anywhere. We can all play a part in defending our communities. Join us on the streets to celebrate our resistance to racism and in defence of our city. The march of the far right ends here. Everyone welcome! This is a call to every local group and neighbourhood: join us on the streets of Brighton and start preparing for the day. To every antifascist, anti-racist, and Anti Raids group across the country: this is a national callout.  Racists in so-called 'Patriots' groups are behind the call to march in Brighton in June. These same groups have harassed people at hotels housing migrant families, have been active in putting up flags to intimidate people of colour, and have violently attacked people taking the flags down. Their call for 'mass deportations' is more than a dog whistle - it is an open call for the forced expulsion of non-white people. We don't want to alarm people, and the number of racists they can summon here are limited, not least because of our proud tradition as an inclusive and welcoming place. But for those that do show up: we intend to stop them from marching. We encourage all who oppose the racists to do the same using whatever methods they feel comfortable with. We will not stand by while they call for our friends, neighbours, colleagues and family, to be ethnically cleansed from our beautiful, diverse communities. We want the day to be a carnival of creativity, a day where everyone feels welcome and it's a joy to take part.
