Stand Up To Racism Bristol

Women Against the Far Right!

THIS SATURDAY!!! The far right’s talk of “protecting” women is a lie. They exploit violence against women to spread racism, transphobia, and division. Their attacks target Muslims and refugees, as well as women of colour and trans women - turning women against each other instead of uniting us for safety and justice. Violence against women and girls is real — but it won’t be solved by scapegoating or hate. There is no evidence people seeking safety are more violent. Many are survivors of war and abuse themselves. The far right’s protests outside refugee housing only fuel fear. They do nothing to make anyone safer. The truth: sexual violence is widespread across society, ignored by those in power, and made worse by cuts to the services that support women and survivors. Real safety means tackling abuse, funding support, and standing together — not turning on each other. A society that defends all women must reject racism, transphobia, and division. We’re hosting a public meeting and organising workshop for women and gender-diverse people to build unity and action against the far right. Together we can create real safety, solidarity, and change.
