Please join us this MONDAY April 13th at 9:15 AM outside Brooklyn Housing Court (141 Livingston Street, Brooklyn 11201) for an important RTC Coalition rally calling on the city and State to protect tenants amid the ongoing eviction crisis. Evictions across the city and state are rising and too many tenants are still going to court without attorneys. We are in an eviction CRISIS. It’s critical that we show up in force to defend and fully implement Right to Counsel, and push for the state policies our communities need to stay housed. This is a key moment to show our collective power directly to the Mayor. Mayor Mamdani is expected to be in the building on Monday for a tour of Brooklyn Housing Court. We have the opportunity to demonstrate (loudly and visibly!) that tenants and our coalition are organized, united, and demanding change in our housing courts. JOIN US! Together, we will demand that the city and state deliver: • Passage of key state legislation to protect tenants (Clean Hands, Statewide Right to Counsel, Winter Eviction Moratorium) • Creation of NYC Anti-Eviction Task Force • Full funding and implementation of NYC’s Right to Counsel law
