This a recurring Brunswick Area Indivisible event in Brunswick, Maine. Rally every Tuesday after work on the overpass where Maine Street crosses Route 1! The theme is to stop Fascism in America and restore Democracy! Large banners are encouraged for display on Route 1, and/or bring your hand-held signs to show on Maine Street. Please be prepared to hold your banner with a buddy or set it up to be free-standing on the sidewalk. We don't want anything to fall on Route 1! There is no fence to attach to, just a short railing. Also, during months when it’s dark outside, feel free to bring your own battery-powered light(s). Lights are provided for the first 20 people. A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
