NO KINGS Calais Maine
No Kings
People have the power and we are claiming it together. No Thrones. No Crowns. No Kings.
What began on June 14, 2025, as a single day of peaceful defiance has become a sustained national resistance to tyranny, taking root in small towns like Calais, in city centers, and in communities everywhere determined to defend democracy.
Four Washington County towns have been holding weekly rallies to speak out against authoritarianism, and more people are joining every week. We will defend ourselves and our communities against this administration’s cruelty, corruption, and lawlessness.
On March 28th, rise up—take to the street in Calais with your Downeast neighbors and join millions of people across the country to say NO THRONES, NO CROWNS, NO KINGS!
Help us ensure that March 28 becomes the biggest day of protest in U.S. history. Don’t stay home watching history happen—come out and help make it.
A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.
