🇵🇸🚨 URGENT! PALESTINIAN STUDENT DENIED SCHOLARSHIP BY USW 🇵🇸🚨 If you've been following our page for the past month you will know how University of South Wales rejected an application from Haya, a Pharmacy graduate in Gaza. Their callous, racist email denied her application purely based on her nationality. When we the people came together to voice our anger at USW, only then did they issue their half-apology and reinstated her application, albeit for the 2026 year instead. However, another of our demands has been for this supposed University of Sanctuary to to offer scholarship support to Haya for her studies. In spite of this demand, USW has outright rejected this, claiming that their apology to Haya was enough. We don't think it is enough. In fact, we cast shame on USW, an institution that claims to support refugees and asylum seekers but is doing nothing for somebody trapped under genocidal occupation. No universities are left in Gaza, and USW is denying hope to Haya for her attempts to continue her studies as is her right. If you want to help, make sure to use the email template in our bio to make our demand clear to USW: either give Haya whatever scholarship or support she can get, or relinquish your status as a University of Sanctuary. It is this simple.
