Caro Weekly Pop-Up

Indivisible

Thank-you so much for your support and interest in participating in our weekly protests at the Tuscola Country Courthouse! We would love to see you there! If you've never protested before, it's really pretty chill. You stand with your sign (a safe distance from the road), stand next to others who usually share similar beliefs, or at very least support your freedom of speech and right to protest.... and notice the reactions from cars passing by. Being in a conservative area, it's unsuprising to get at least a dozen negative reactions from cars, but so far our positive responses have been more than double! Weekly protests have some unique benefits and abilities: Sustained public visibility, sustained civic action, increased opportunities for community, mutual aid, and relationship building... Lastly, the regular ability to decompress and empower each other while we stand together! Let me emphasis, we're doing all this TOGETHER. Where we can be better and stronger. We're not out here to agitate or fight the MAGA in our community. This isn't about them.... This fight is about US - The People. And quite largely, The People are sick of injustice and the BS coming out of D.C. Anyone willing to stand against injustice, and FOR our beautiful, diverse land and peoples - you are welcome and safe with us. A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
