STOP ICE KIDNAPPINGS & MURDERS

Stop the Coup, AZ

Join us Thursday, Feb 12 from 4-6pm at this protest being held on a busy corner in northern Tucson - La Cholla Blvd and Ina Rd. The organizer will be at the NE corner but protesters are welcome to protest at every corner. Parking information below & under "accessibility." Costumes Welcome! (For the best sign visibility, consider bold, think letters at least 4" tall to make your sign readable to drivers.) Also: Signs will be available for a small donation. This is a peaceful protest and will follow all safety protocols. Media will be notified - we had 600 people on Jan 29th. Protesting is one of the pillars of resistance of an Authoritarian takeover. We the People can help give others the courage to resist. Congress is negotiating a deal to fund Trump’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) that is killing people in the streets, taking our children, and trampling our constitutional rights. A temporary stopgap measure will likely fund DHS through February 13th while negotiations continue. We must keep up the pressure on Congress to protect our communities. Ample parking on 3 of the 4 corners. Specifically: You can park on the NE corner in the large parking lot where the Albertson's and other stores are located OR you can park on the NW corner in the big parking lot where the Barnes and Noble & other businesses are located and there is parking on the SW corner around the Dollar Tree Store area.
