Casper, WY May Day 2026: Workers Over Billionaires

The National Education Association

When billionaires and corporate interests rig the rules for themselves, it will take more than business as usual to stop them. Every gain working people have ever won came from collective action — and May 1 is our moment to stand together again. Our May 1 Priorities Make billionaires pay their fair share so our families, schools, and communities come first — not their profits. Protect and strengthen Medicaid, Social Security, and the public programs working people rely on. Fully fund public schools, healthcare, and affordable housing instead of padding billionaire tax breaks. Defend our democracy from corporate capture and ensure elections reflect the will of the people — not the wealthiest few. Stand with immigrants, communities of color, Native communities, people with disabilities, and LGBTQ+ people against policies designed to divide and harm us. On May 1, we will demonstrate our collective power through coordinated action in our communities — rallies, teach-ins, walk-ins, and visible solidarity that makes clear: when working people unite, we can set the direction of this country. Join us as we honor May Day not just with words, but with action and community. Please note: A core principle behind all our events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.
