REPORT BACK FROM Palestine + CONVERSATION WITH GEORGE SALIBA RISHMAWI

SJP Chicago

https://linktr.ee/chicago2palestine 🇵🇸 Join youth from Chicago for a report back as they share key takeaways from their recent delegation to Palestine, including first-hand updates from the West Bank, and reflections on the importance of returning to Palestine and increasing international presence. They will be joined by George Rishmawi on a panel, who will discuss his campaign to rehabilitate Dar Barrouq, a Historic Cultural Center in Beit Sahour, Palestine, and ways for us to support his campaign. George Rishmawi is the co-founder of The Palestine Heritage Trail. The Palestinian Heritage Trail (PHT) is a not-for-profit community-based tourism organization that creates hiking trails in and around different Palestinian communities. George Rishmawi and the PHT are working on a campaign to rehabilitate the Historical Cultural Center called Dar Barrouq in Beit Sahour, Palestine. PHT is seeking to turn Dar Barrouq into a space that is designed as a center for cultural exchange, community empowerment, and sustainable tourism to Palestine. Located in the historic center of Beit Sahour, Palestine, Dar Barrouq will bring together international visitors and local communities to experience authentic Palestinian culture, engage in artisan workshops, and purchase handmade crafts. Join us for a report back and learn more about how to support George’s vision to bring this beautiful historic space back to life.
