Indivisible Newark DE
No More Grinch Greed: Make the Holidays Affordable Again
Based partly on requests from members at the Nov chapter meeting, Indivisible Newark DE is having a targeted and themed protest about affordability outside a busy shopping center this month!
The Basics
Theme: No More Grinch Greed - Make the Holidays Affordable Again
Date and time: Dec 13th 2-3pm
Location: Center Blvd outside of the Christiana Fashion Center on the Container Store side → stationary protest, no march
Dress warm, and we will bring hand warmers and hot chocolate to distribute!
We need your help to make this protest one to remember.
We already have someone who will be dressed as the Grinch wearing a Trump wig. We also will have some holiday inflatable costumes, large signs with key messaging, and other related props. Here is how you can help:
Wear holiday attire if you can (especially hats, scarves, and anything else visible outside your winter jacket) to add to the whoville vibe
Bring a large sign with one of the below messages or be prepared to hold one we provide
If you have other ideas about how to increase the impact of the theme, email [email protected] ASAP!
RSVP on Mobilize→ not required, but this really helps us plan and keep you updated
