This a local Indivisible event is coordinated by the LC Valley Indivisible Chapter (Lewiston, ID and Clarkston, WA area). This Street Rally/Protest is Saturday, January 17th, 2026. Location: Corner 5th Street & Bridge, Clarkston, WA (sidewalks in areas around Clarkston Albertsons). Time: Noon to 2 pm. Join us for this peaceful rally with TWO components: 1) a TRADITIONAL street rally/protest where protesters bring their own pro-democracy signs, costumes, noise makers and wave those signs on Bridge Street in this area of heavy local traffic; 2) a new VISIBILITY MESSAGING sign row with volunteers holding specific signs spelling out a relevant message to highlight the signs of fascism developing in our country. These protesters will hold their (pre-made) specific signs on 5th Street. Organizers hope to fill both sections & make our commitment to help save democracy known. Stand Up. Speak Up. Show Up. Democracy Needs Your CouRAGE. Event Notes: Parking is generally in nearby shopping center parking lot or available street spaces; restrooms are available in nearby retail establishments; outdoor chairs or stools okay; all protesters to remain on the sidewalks, spreading out when necessary to not block crosswalks nor block entrances to businesses and should cross with the lights at crosswalks. An information table will be set up in the corner of the parking lot nearest 5th and Bridge. Extra signs will be available on loan for folks without signs. A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
