No War on Venezuela
Late last year, The Trump Administration and War Secretary Pete Hegseth ordered lethal strikes on fisherman boats in the Caribbean. Now, the U.S. has kidnapped duly elected Nicholas Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores and bombed the mainland, killing 80+ Venezuelans.
These are despicable, naked acts of imperialism not self defense against "drug cartels." Working people see clearly the parallels between this new war drive toward Venezuela and the disastrous US invasion of Iraq in both the rationales given and the material truth of the situation. No blood shall be shed for oil.
We call on Clevelanders to join us at city hall on January 12th to encourage city council pass an immediate anti-war resolution to be shared with U.S. representatives, senators, and the Governor.
We cannot afford another forever war! Money for Jobs and education, not for war and deportation!
