THE USM PEOPLE'S TRIBUNAL FOR PALESTINE

USM Divestment Coalition for Palestine

ANNOUNCING THE USM PEOPLES TRIBUNAL FOR PALESTINE! 🇵🇸 ❤️‍🔥 Join us on Friday, April 17 2PM at UMD’s Nyumburu Amphitheater for a student-led People’s Tribunal holding the Board of Butchers accountable for their complicity in the ongoing accelerated genocide in Gaza, and war crimes around the world. Over 75 years into the ongoing Nakba of Palestinian people, the US has simultaneously overextended its reach into Iran, Lebanon, Cuba, and Venezuela - violating nations sovereignty in pursuit of their own violent imperial interests. Meanwhile, our universities have chosen to continue materially and financially backing the US and Zionist entity, pipelining students into the military-industrial complex, forming academic and research partnerships with “Israel”, hosting war criminals on campus, and culturally upholding and normalizing the Zionist project and its colonization of Palestinians. We commit to raising popular consciousness of our systems complicity in upholding systems of oppression and the Butchers existence as the crucial link between our universities and larger imperial order. We seek to put the Butchers on trial for their heinous crimes against humanity, subsidized through our endowment funds. We, students, faculty, and staff across the USM assert our institutions responsibility in upholding international law. We demand accountability from our unelected board, our university presidents, and Governor Wes Moore for their repression of student liberatory movements while economically enabling war crimes against our people. At 8AM that very morning, the Butchers will be convening one of their routine meetings, at UMD. We demand no business as usual. We will fight until divestment, and victory for our peoples everywhere. 🇵🇸❤️‍🔥
