Join Delco and Chester County Indivisible Saturday, January 3 at 11AM as we come together across Pennsylvania to send a message to Citizens Bank and raise awareness about Citizens Bank’s role in supporting for profit detention centers. Citizens Financial Group, through subsidiaries like Citizens Bank, has long financed private prison and detention operators despite decades of abuse, neglect, forced labor and fraud. Companies like GEO and CoreCivic have caused widespread harm- including wrongful deaths, medical neglect and exploitation. Here in Pennsylvania GEO operates the Moshannon Valley Processing Center, the largest ICE detention facility in the Northeast. Moshannon is located about three and a half hours from our area.
