We will stand with our community members and fellow Americans who may be affected by the current brutal actions of ICE and the authoritarian policies of the Trump Administration. America has progressed only when its people had the courage to challenge injustices and hold our nation accountable to its ideals. The strength of our nation has always rested on the rule of law, justice, and equal rights for all. America was founded in ousting of a king, tyrants, and unchecked authority. Our strength as a nation has always rested on the rule of law, equal justice, and the courage of ordinary citizens to take a stand against unfair systems. We protest to stand for the ideas and foundations that our beautiful nation was built upon. ICE’s brutality, sanctioned by the Trump Administration, is nothing more than a bunch of fear-mongers and hate-mongers abusing their sense of ‘power’ to terrorize, divide, and dehumanize. It is our duty as Americans to protect the weak and speak up for those who cannot speak up for themselves. And for America to be truly united, we cannot reserve justice for the few.
