This a local Indivisible event! There was never a more important time to stand up AND LET YOUR VOICE BE HEARD than today! Our Congress is allowing this country to disintegrate before our eyes and we need to let our legislature know that we want it protected! We are done with WARS! We are done with taking over countries for OIL! We know our congress knows it's time but they aren't standing up for us. WE HAVE TO DO IT! This is in the Rayzor Ranch retail area of Denton. We will begin at the intersection near RaceTrac and the First United Bank and spread along 380. This is a highly visible area with up to approx. 5000 vehicles per hour on a Saturday and we have received a great amount of public support previously. Please be sure to patronize a local business in the area before or after the event. This is a peaceful protest - DO NOT bring any firearms, weapons of any kind and be prepared to de-escalate in the event of any unexpected confrontation. We do have some extra signs if you do not have any ready made and available. A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
