Community Power Hour

General Strike U.S. - Colorado

✨✨Community Power Hour Alert!✨✨ Hope is not a plan! Alone we are afraid… but together we are FEARED. Do you keep asking yourself “What is a General Strike? When is it? How Does it Work?” Yes friends, It is indeed a strike that is being strategically organized by a decentralized network of regular people who know our greatest power is our labor and our right to refuse it, but it is SO MUCH MORE THAN THAT!!! It is about building community driven support systems and moving away from capitalistic and governmental infrastructure that is broken and oppress and exploit us. Join us at one of our upcoming Community Power Hours to learn more about General Strike US, our mission and our vision and how you can get involved. The first event will be held at Fort Greene @ftgreenebar on Monday February 23 from 6-9 PM, yummy cocktails, mocktails and food by @horse.n.tiger The theme of the Evening is FILL THE FRIDGE – How Mutual Aid is Emotional Care too Bring food to stock the community fridge at Fort Greene and take some time to build community face to face. (Fresh produce, dairy items, non-perishable pantry items, & provisioned prepared meals.) @denvercommunityfridges https://denvercommunityfridges.com/ There are multiple roles that need to be filled within a General Strike, from administration to the front lines, we welcome and value your knowledge and specific skill sets.
