Detroit Anti-War Committee

No War On Venezuela Protest

NO TROOPS ON THE GROUND, NO BOMBS IN THE AIR, US OUT OF VENEZUELA! Join the Detroit Anti-War Committee and others on 11/22 at 2pm in Clark Park to oppose Trump as he gears for another senseless forever war to wage terror on Venezuelans. Over the last few months, we have seen the Trump administration bomb fishing boats on the coast of Venezuela, all while sending an increased presence of warships and troops in the Caribbean sea to be used to presumably undermine and overthrow the Venezuelan government. It’s clear that Trump and his war profiteering allies seek to use Venezuela for its oil and resources, murdering civilians if it means getting the job done. At the same time, our cities go underfunded, and the war economy continues to grow. That is why as Detroiters, we must stand with the Venezuelan people and reject Trump and his senseless wars. This action is part of a National Week of Action demanding no war on Venezuela. We know that the same war profiteers who seek to profit off a war in Venezuela are already profiting off the taxes of citizens here in Detroit. These are the war profiteers who have been perpetuating the genocides in Palestine, Sudan, and other countries. Our tax dollars should be used to fund local programs, jobs, and schools, not for murdering fishermen and children! HANDS OFF VENEZUELA! MONEY FOR DETROIT, NOT FOR WAR! END ALL U.S. WARS AND SANCTIONS
