NO KINGS Douglas, GA
No Kings
On March 28th, Douglas rises with the rest of the country.
From 12PM to 2PM, we will hold a fully permitted protest at the Longhorn and Arby’s intersection in Douglas, Georgia. Same place as always. Permits secured. Community ready.
This action is part of the nationwide day of protest organized by No Kings. Last October more than 7 million people showed up at over 2,700 events across all 50 states, DC, and cities worldwide to say what should never have to be said in a so-called democracy: America has no kings. Power belongs to the people.
We are standing against the system propping up men like Donald Trump, against the terror carried out by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, against illegal wars, against white supremacy, against billionaires deciding our future while working people drown.
This is a peaceful, lawful protest. Bring signs. Bring water. Bring your voice. Bring your solidarity with every family ripped apart, every worker exploited, every community under attack.
Douglas is showing up. Coffee County is showing up. The people are showing up.
March 28th.
12PM to 2PM.
Longhorn and Arby’s intersection, Douglas GA.
No kings. No fascists. No silence.
Protest is organized by members of the Young Socialists of America.
A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.
