From @ipscnorthtipperary "HUNGER FOR JUSTICE - FIGHT THE FINANCIERS Last year on 12 December, along with Nenagh Friends of Palestine, we organised a 24-hour fast — Hunger for Justice/Troscadh ar son na Córa. Every county in Ireland was represented on the fast and numerous people from other countries around the world also took part. Together, we raised over €200,000. We are now organising another 24-hour fast to take place commencing 6.00 p.m. Friday 10 October. This fast, to mark two years of the genocide, is aimed at focusing attention on those who fund that genocide. FIGHT THE FINANCIERS The fast will be accompanied by several actions: BELFAST SATURDAY 11.00 a.m. - 1.00 p.m. — Vigil outside Barclays, Royal Avenue 5.00 p.m. - 6.00 p.m. — Motor cavalcade through West Belfast 6.00 p.m. - 7.00 p.m. — ‘Breaking the fast’ - sharing a simple meal cooked by Palestinian families living in Belfast. Venue - The Roddy McCorley Social Club, Glen Road. 6.00 p.m. DUBLIN SATURDAY 11.30am - Start to assemble at Croke Park 12.00pm - March 13:00pm - Speakers 13:30pm - Presentation of list of volunteer fasters supporting the action to the GAA It is not necessary to take part in the fast to engage in the actions, and vice versa.
