This year, the Durham Association of Educators, the majority staff union in DPS, will be one of the first public school worker unions in NC history to sit across the table from district leaders and negotiate over staff working conditions and student learning conditions through Meet & Confer. This is historic, and how much we are able to transform our schools depends on how strong a coalition we can build of DPS workers, students, families, and members of the Durham community who show up and fight together.
