Disappeared in America

ICE Out of Home Depot Vigil

On November 2, we will hold a rally outside of Home Depot in honor of all the workers who have been kidnapped by ICE on Home Depot properties. Fight back against Home Depot complicity in these ICE raids against our neighbors who work as day laborers. Join us in a day of action and make your voice heard. Tell Home Depot: ICE Out! All over the country, ICE agents are targeting immigrants in and around Home Depot, attacking and terrorizing workers, customers, and surrounding communities. The raids are terrifying, chaotic and even deadly. In August, outside Los Angeles, Carlos Roberto Montoya, a day laborer from Guatemala, was killed as he fled a Home Depot raid. He ran onto the freeway and was hit by a car. Home Depot is complicit in these raids, which are on its watch, on its properties, and accompanied by its silence. Even worse, The Home Depot company has not resisted or condemned these raids. It has not publicly demanded that the Administration stop assaulting and abducting people on and outside its properties. As far as we know, it hasn't even asked. With its silence and inaction, Home Depot has become ICE’s passive partner. With every new raid, Home Depot is helping ICE meet its arrest quotas, fill private prisons, and spread fear in our communities. Join us, and fight back!
