This a local Indivisible event sponsored by Southern Crescent Indivisible of Georgia This event is a street protest. Protesters with a variety of signs and flags line up along the sidewalk of a busy street. We wave at drivers, smile at the supportive honks, and talk with fellow protesters. You can bring your own sign (no profanity, please) or borrow one of ours. We provide water but be sure to wear sunscreen and a hat. At our protests, you are among friends, and the atmosphere is friendly and progressive. Southern Cresent Indivisible of Georgia works with 9 counties. We are a diverse, dedicated, and volunteer group of individuals who believe in a real democracy—of, by, and for the people. We are concerned with the impact of recent changes in our government and on the impact to our counties A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
