ICE Out For Good in Florence, Oregon
“ICE Out For Good” Rally with Florence Indivisible
On Saturday, January 7th, an American citizen was killed by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Minneapolis, Minnesota. On Thursday, January 9th, two people were shot in Portland by Border Patrol officers. This is part of a broader pattern of unchecked violence, impunity, and abuse carried out by federal immigration enforcement agencies against members of our communities.
A broad coalition of groups across the country are calling for a coordinated Ice Out For Good Action this weekend to demand accountability, honor the lives lost, and make visible the human cost of ICE’s actions.
We’ve seen enough. When ICE is on the loose, no one is safe.
Join us this Saturday, January 10, at Peace Corner (Hwys. 101/126) from 1 – 2 pm as we add our voice of outrage against federal immigration enforcement bringing terror and taking lives in our communities. Bring your signs, banners, noisemakers, and flags to get ICE Out for Good.
A core principle behind all ICE Out For Good events is a commitment to nonviolent action and no civil disobedience. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values, and to act lawfully at these events.
